Canby United Methodist
Community Outreach
Sundays are a time to worship, but our congregation
also reaches out into the Community to teach and aid those in need.
Our Quilting Group has a great time getting together
and sewing quilts, but the special part is when the finished quilts
are given to those in need. Other United Methodist Women's
programs include fund raisers for camp scholarships and missions for
women and children.
Other opportunities for outreach include:
Volunteers in Mission
Start-Right School Supplies Drive
Red Cross Blood Drive
Christmas Shoebox Program
Casa Methodista
Vacation Bible School 2011...Shake It Up Cafe was a HUGE success!!!
If you were anywhere near CUMC on July 1st at 11:30am, you would have
seen out building shaking with the singing voices of our 70 children who
attended VBS 2011. What a great week we had with a wonderful group
of children who went home knowing a little more about God and how to
share His love.
It takes an entire church to have a successful VBS and so many people
contributed their time, talents and support. THANK YOU!!!
And a special Thank You to Michelle Baarsch for stepping up to be our
Director this year!
We're looking forward to VBS 2012 which will be held June 18th through
the 22nd. Please check back for more information.
