Sometimes you come to the Library to do research and all of the books on your topic are already checked out! AAAHHHH! What can you do?

Try the Internet, of course. . . . but you need to know how to navigate - how to look for specific URLs, how to go back and forth between pages, and how to bookmark a good location.

Let's use the Internet to find information on

              

1. Using a link to go to a page; going back and forth between webpages

Clicking on underlined links sends you to different sites on the Internet. Put the curser arrow over the underlined link Seven Wonders of the World and notice that the curser turns into a pointing hand. DON'T CLICK IT YET! - Wait until you have read the instructions here in #1. When you click on the link, it will open up another page ... you will be able to go back and forth between this page and the new page! In Firefox, use the GO menu to go back and forth // In Safari, use the HISTORY menu to go back and forth.
