December 2-10, 2017 Oaxaca, Mexico
You are invited to join Judy Wise, Lisa Sonora and Judy's daughter and painter Shellie Garber in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico to spend a week together painting, exploring and eating.
Limited to 10 participants, no previous painting experience necessary
Art House Oaxaca is located in the historic center of Oaxaca City.
Judy will lead us in painting classes on 4 1/2 of the days we have together from roughly 10 in the morning until 4pm. Shellie will assist and support.
Judy's teaching method is gentle; we are here to discover ourselves and to discover the city of Oaxaca.
Imagine waking up to sunshine and birdsong in a colonial city known for its beautiful parks, art museums and world famous cuisine.
We will visit rug weavers in Teotitlan, an archaeological site, indigenous markets, several art museums, and have a guided city tour with Lisa during our time together.
We are deliberately keeping the itinerary loose to conform to the interests of the group because there is SO MUCH to do here.
There will be free time to shop, visit the many art galleries and cultural museums, take a cooking class or visit Monte Alban if you choose.
In addition to our scheduled trips Lisa and I will make arrangements for side trips and provide you with maps and assistance if you have a desire to do something not on the schedule.
We want to make your trip incredible and we want you to love this city as much as we do.
Oaxaca is famous for its food and we will share our favorite restaurants and menus with you.
Breakfast and lunch will be served at Art House Oaxaca. The food is healthy and lovingly prepared. Special diets accomodated.
Our final night together will be spent in one of our favorite restaurants; that meal is included.
A short materials list will be forwarded to enrollees but most of the art supplies will be provided to you including paper and paint.
Deposit of $700 to hold your spot in the class and the remaining 2 payments of $750 each due on Aug. 1st and Nov. 1st.
