Welcome to my studio!
Here is where I create the paintings and transform my experiences and memories into the pictures on the accompanying pages. I hope you will enjoy your visit. Have a latte and relax while you look around.
Here is the table where I paint my reverse acrylics on archival mylar, acrylic panel or glass. This is a very old technique that was used by icon painters in the balkans. One of my favorite artists, Gabriele Gunter, did many reverse paintings on glass.
This is the etching press where I printed thousands of etchings in the 80's and 90's. While I love handmade prints, I tired of the repetition and now offer mechanical prints.
This is another view of my etch press looking toward my big mat cutting guillotine. My mat cutting table is beside that and I frame all my paintings on the tall table in front. Outside the window is my lovely Sheer Bliss rose. I take lots of breaks to spend time with my roses.
This picture shows the table where I frame my work and wrap my prints. Way across the room is my Jotul stove and in between are my easel, a mess of boxed work to go to shows and other clutter. You can see the great pidgeonhole shelves John built me in the foreground. I store glass, frame sections and miscellaneous supplies here.
Thank you for the visit.
