Special Olympics is a worldwide organization dedicated to providing year-round opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition.

Special Olympics is Athlete Focused-Athletes are the core of the Special Olympics movement.  Special Olympics continues to strive to create new and innovative opportunities that celebrate the achievements of individuals with intellectual disabilities and welcomes participation from everyone--giving us all the opportunity to Inspire Greatness.

Here in Clackamas County, we have 235 athletes participating in a variety of sports on a year-round basis.

Programs are provided free of cost to all athletes. More information.

Special Olympics is Volunteer Driven-You don't have to be an athlete to Inspire Greatness.  Hundreds of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds dedicate their time and knowledge to the movement.  Special Olympics would not exist without the dedication and commitment of our volunteers.  More information.

Special Olympics is Community Supported-You, your group, corporation or organization can help provide athletes with an experience to remember through sponsorship and/or donations.

Our program is run entirely by volunteers so your support goes entirely to support athletes in Clackamas County.  More information.
