Youth Group Events
Recently the youth group has done a few activities. We have gone to Suttle Lake for the winter youth retreat. We met many new people and enjoyed talking with some we already knew. We also went inner-tubing in the snow which is really fun!! This retreat also helped us get to know one another better and learn about God.
About two weeks after we went bowling in Wilsonville and had a great time. Whenever someone got a strike (which happened more than you would think) they would pick a slip of paper with a Bible verse on it out of the jar and look it up in Scripture. Then everyone would have to guess how it related to bowling. Very fun for all and really yummy food!
Next we went to The Underground in Salem for Sunday night worship. They have a live band which plays very loud but is very talented. Skiing was next. We went to Hoodoo again and were lucky to get more people to go this time. Everyone enjoyed themselves learned a lot. Coming up is our St. Patrick’s Day party where we are going to the Canby High School musical production of Beauty and the Beast. That should be fun.
We also are learning to work the sound board for when Paul Ashton is gone. So far, we have learned that it looks confusing and difficult but once you run it a couple of times it’s not that hard. Also, we keep serving Espresso after church which many people contribute to and enjoy. Any questions? Please feel free to stop and ask us what’s up. And bring a friend to youth events. We would like to see our youth group grow!
