June 21st through June 25th

We have a great staff geared up for VBS, but we can still use volunteers to make this the BEST VBS IN CANBY!

Could you volunteer as a Mission Pilot?  Pilot the children from activity to activity.  Each age group has a Pilot who spends the morning with them.  You don’t need to teach—just keep track of the class.

We also would love our Middle and High School students who are too old for VBS to return to help out—crafts, piloting children, helping with games—there’s many things for you to do!

We could also use your help in creating decorations and helping to decorate the church.

We don’t charge for VBS, as it is a very important mission of our church.  We draw children from all areas of town who will hear of God’s love for them and experience it throughout the week from everyone they encounter.  Our UMW generously donates each year to VBS, and we would like to encourage everyone to follow their example and make a donation to ensure that we have healthy snacks, wonderful art projects, a tee shirt for every child to decorate.

We are fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers to help us with this endeavor.  If you would like to volunteer during this week, please give the church office a call (number is listed below).

If you are volunteering for VBS, please stop by the office to fill out a form for a background check.  A new check is required each year.  Also, if you are a new volunteer you will need to be trained in our Safe Sanctuaries policy prior to VBS.  Please see Pastor Bill for information.  If you have already received Safe Sanctuaries training, you will need to fill out a separate form when you come in to fill out your background check form.
