Soccer (Jacie McElhinny & Peter Kahl verbal report):
Classic tryouts were completed and they have 3 girls teams and one
boys team
Soccer had contracted with Bonzi for online registration. If there
are more sports who wish to have online registration, Bonzi could
accommodate several sports under one contract.
Softball (Shantel Harney verbal report):
The 8-10 year old teams are done for the season the traveling teams
will be done by July 1st
Lacrosse (Frank Lambert verbal report):
The season has ended. The team finished over 500, better than
expected and won all three games in a Jamboree
Next year they hope to have 2 boys teams and one girls team
Turf Maintenance fees paid to Canby Kids should be figured out as
they ended up playing on Football fields who are maintaining the fields
on their own.
Turf Maintenance (John Vredenburg verbal report):
Fertilizing and overseeding are done for the spring. Legacy and
Trost will be done later.
Classic Soccer will not be holding a spring league next year. In its
place, it will be partnering with the Chinook cup and managing fields
for their tournament on Ackerman, Legacy, Trost and Baker Prairie
fields.
There will not be any Oregon Youth Soccer’s Classic Qualifying
Tournaments on Canby fields this year.
Baker Prairie closed soccer fields because of a school function and
due to some communication glitches, games had to be rescheduled. Sports
need to supply game schedules to Carol so she can work with CSD.
