Board Meeting Minutes

 

Canby Kids Board Meeting
February 7, 2007

Meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm at The Seasons meeting room.  In Attendance:

Baseball:  Janet Sanders
Softball:  Richard Zorr

Minutes for the 2006 AGM were approved as presented

Elections: Matt Madeira was unanimously elected for the Member-at-Large position. 

Treasurer Report:  Profit/Loss report for 2006 was presented

Balances as of 12/31/2006:

Canby Kids have applied for a grant of $10,000 from Canby Rotary.  There is some discussion about Canby Kids helping with the Nothing But Net Basketball tournament held in July for an ongoing income source. 

Old Business: None

New Business: 

• Janet Sanders visited the Welcome Center at Baker Prairie Middle School and there is a chance that Canby Kids could have free space for our office.  There are multiple details to be worked out.
• Maple Street Park has a fire pit where the old bathrooms were located.  Richard Zorr was concerned about the safety of the pit and how that will be resolved.  Richard will share his concerns with Beth Saul, head of the Parks Department
